Competitor’s analysis is the most
important factor for Search Engine Optimization. I think it’s a broad area so
without much more experience no one can better in this field. I have some little
bit knowledge about Competitor’s analysis and I am sharing with you today.
Analyzing your competitors you need
to take consideration in many factors. These factors are divided into two criteria. These
are ….
1. On Page Optimization
2. Off Page Optimization
Off Page Optimization:
The purpose
of Off Page Optimization you need select the factors those are associated with
the Off Page Optimization.
First you need to select a Niche
Keyword and according on this you need to select at least 5/6 URL related to
your selected Niche. And this 5/6 URL (Uniform Resource Locator) should be listed
within the Google first 10 URL. Then you could start your competitor’s
analysis.
Starting you analysis you have to
select some factors and its need to know that everyone have some additional way
for analyzing for their own competitors. But in general we all do the same. So the
related factors for competitor’s analysis are given below…
1. Page Rank (PR)
2. Alexa Rank
3. Indexed Page
4. Keyword
5. Keyword Prominence and proximity
6. Google Review
7. Google+ Page
8. Directory Listing
9. Social Signals
To understand these factors some explanations are given below…
Page Rank:
Page Rank is one of the most
important factors for competitor’s analysis. First you have to check the actual
page URL page rank and then you also need to check Domain page rank. So after
checking if you find that the URL page rank and Domain rank is low then it is
good for you to compete with your competitor’s. But if the page rank for both
URL and Domain is high then it will be tough for you to compete with competitors.
Alexa Rank:
Alexa rank a websites on the basis of
visitors. If URL and Domain Alexa rank is high it means they have low amount of
visitors but it Alexa rank is low then it will be tight for you to compete. To
win with competitors you will need to generate more visitors.
Indexed Page:
You need to analyze competitor’s site’s
index page. How much page was indexed in Google? For example it may be 1 lack
or more or less. If indexed page is low then it will good for you to compete with
the competitor’s or if the indexed page is high then it will be difficult to
beat them.
Keyword:
Keyword is another major factor for
consideration. You have to identify are they use keyword in their URL,
Description and Title. If there is any lacking to put keyword to your
competitor’s Title, URL and Description then it will be good enough for you
beat them in future.
Keyword Prominence and Proximity:
Keyword prominence means keywords are
near to each other and Proximity means keyword are in the starting point. So you
need to find the competitor’s lacking in the Prominence and proximity. If there
is any lacking it will good for you.
Google Review:
Google review for the competitor’s
sites then you have to put it down and you have to do more than your
competitors.
Directory Listing:
Directory listing means you have to
find out competitor’s page are listed on the directory or not? For example Dmoz
and Yahoo Directory
Social Signals:
Social signal means in Tweeter,
Facebook, Diggs, Stumbleupon, Delicious, Pinterest, Linkedin. And you need to
identify how much are your competitor’s are associated with these social media.
Bing Indexed:
As like Google indexed page you also
need to identify how many page are indexed in Bing of you competitor’s site.
In summary I want to tell all of my
online friends that these are the major factors for Off Page Optimization but
there are some others factors and you can also do it by paying method.
